Developing a new paradigm in farming is the focus of Ameribild Freedom Farms for 2014 and beyond. We are creating a comprehensive program to increase jobs and business opportunities. Our goal is a pathway for Veterans, transitioning military, job-searchers and new career seekers. Two foundational items society needs to function: food and water. In California, those two things may seem abundant, but 2014 has been especially bleak for farms and water resources. California is not an isolated situation. As a nation we can establish a new pathway to careers in farming by redefining the methodology of producing food while minimizing the impact on the eco-system.
Our program links technology to minimal footprint, organic greenhouse farming facilities – we can irrigate our farm facilities without impacting the water resource systems; we can power our farms without “plugging in to the grid”; we can grow more food per square foot than traditional farming, faster and more per year; we can train our Veterans and provide them with highly successful opportunities – all of them.
